Organisational Resilience – It’s now a core competency.

Increasingly organisations are required to operate within a complex environment that presents constant change and unpredictable and expanding risks.

Given this reality, coupled with learnings from the COVID-19 experience, many organisations now acknowledge that the traditional methods to resilience are no longer appropriate.

While most organisations have not considered enterprise-wide resilience (the ability to thrive under change), a core competency, a growing number now recognise the criticality of establishing more proactive, forward-looking, and strategic approaches to resilience that see the development and implementation of enterprise wide and integrated organisational resilience.

In today’s complex environment, the inevitability and unpredictability of critical incidents, such as crisis, disruption and emergency events have never been clearer. Embedding a systematic enterprise-wide approach to resilience will be crucial in identifying, averting, mitigating, and managing these events.

Organisations that prioritise and invest in building a foundation of resilience to address any type of critical incident will be better positioned to protect their people and assets, preserve, and improve value and seize competitive advantage.
